Facebook Share meets Tweetmeme Button
Following on the success of our Tweetme plugin for Joomla and also from feedback received from our memebrs, we decided to develop a plugin specifically to combine Facebook Share abd Tweetmeme into one awsome Joomla Content plugin. We choose the name ShareMe for this new
plugin, that is similar in functionality to the Facebook and Tweetmeme share and count buttons that can be seeen on popular sites like Mashable and Techcrunch.
With ShareMe Free, it will now be possible for Joomla sites to also offer this functionality.
The plugin is loosely based on the TweetMe plugin but is a bit more advanced and will offer some cool features that are provided by the Facebook API, like a live counter that checks for the number of times your URL has been shared on Facebook. Facebook is also providing analytics like the number of clickbacks and it can also count shares that aren’t part of the public Facebook stream .
The next release of the ShareMe plugin may include some Analytics provided by the Facebook API so you can better track your contents sharing on the Web. We have made it easy for your sites content to be part of the more than 2 billion pieces of content that are shared via Facebook every week as well as the power of Twitter via the Tweetmeme service.
You van see a Demo here on our Demo Site where we have aligned the buttons to the left of the articles text using the available Custom CSS settings in the Plugins Parameter settings and also a live Demo with the default layout on a clients site over at Anglers Zone - Swim with the Big Fish .Download the plugin and get further information Here.

I'm with Deepak Thanks for this great extension, it is very good. Like Deepak, I would love to see it take on functionality similar to Mashable's. 1. Google Buzz, email and share buttons integrated into the share options. 2. On a blog view, the share icons show inside the article 3. On an article view, they share icons display outside the article in the sidebar. These three items would make it the best social plug-in around. Thanks again, keep up the good work! |
